Co-Op Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
ABOUT THESE OFFERS

What are the advantages of using a printed ad instead of a digital one?

Printed ads, as we say in Neuro Marketing, are sensory and ensure physical, tangible visibility. Additionally, 72.6% of Americans consider it “MORE PERSONAL” when ads are delivered directly to their door. Unlike digital ads, printed materials are more durable and become a visual resource that stays within reach of the customer. Some people literally put it up on the fridge! Meanwhile, with digital, in seconds people scroll to the next post on social media, and search results are in the middle of direct competitors.

What are the benefits of choosing a Sponsor or Exclusive ad?

The Sponsor ad offers greater emphasis on photography, which could be a person’s image or a brand’s anchor product. Having more space doesn’t mean freedom for visual clutter with text and promotions, as it follows the same design concept of this Co-Op project. The Exclusive ad ensures that only your brand is visible on the postcard, offering complete design freedom according to your brand’s visual identity. The advantage here is benefiting from our local knowledge when choosing the EDDM route (selected USPS routes) to align with the desired target audience.

Whenever I receive a postcard promoting only one business, it usually comes alongside other mail, meaning I don’t receive it literally “exclusively” on its own. Therefore, the Alliance ad provides an unbeatable financial advantage (10% of the Exclusive’s cost) for keeping brand presence in a region consistently.

What is included in the creation and production of the ad?

Creation includes professional photography (for a limited time), descriptive text, and, if desired, a special offer. The company’s logo can be superimposed on the photograph or included in the context of the image creation, like on the business’s storefront. The design concept follows a harmonious template to optimize recipient visibility. Each postcard also includes a digital version of the ad (Postcard’s HotSite), containing more details about the business, relevant links, and, if applicable, offer details with expiration. It’s worth noting that the HotSite is for the postcard, not for each individual ad.

Production includes printing the postcard on 16pt Premium Matte paper with Aqueous Coating and Spot-UV on the photograph, plus direct USPS delivery to the selected area.

How does the campaign contribute to my website's SEO?

Each edition includes backlinks on the Postcard’s HotSite, which displays the ads in a web template version. On this page, there is a section with links to the company’s website and social media. As the HotSite gains authority with search engines, that relevance is transferred to the client’s site. This feature provides greater search visibility, increasing the likelihood of attracting new visitors to your site.

Is there a long-term commitment or loyalty contract?

No, there is no loyalty contract. You can secure a spot for your specialty for only $199.00 and schedule the included photography session (available for a limited time). Before the following edition is released, you have priority to update your ad, if needed, or simply release the specialty for another business. Although recommendations from marketing course masters and instructors are typically for campaigns of at least six months, I understand that finances and priorities can change.

How many households receive the ads, and what is the geographical distribution?

Each edition includes 10,000 impressions, although it is difficult to achieve that exact number due to route selection. Routes are chosen based on data like average household income and age range percentages. The exact quantity and selected routes will be disclosed to advertisers who request more information.

Can I include a special offer in my ad?

Yes! Special offers, also known as coupons, are an excellent way to draw extra attention to your ad. In the printed ad, we use a template that harmonizes with the design, and in the digital version (the Postcard’s HotSite), we can include offer details like discounts, giveaways, special promotions, expiration date, conditions, and quantity limits. Ideally, the special offer is exclusive to the postcard as it is distributed only within the neighborhood, distinguishing it from standard promotions on the company’s website.

Can I use my own artwork in the ad space?

To maintain the visual quality of the material, we do not accept client-supplied artwork for Alliance or Sponsor ads. This customization is available only with the Exclusive ad.

I already have photos of my business. Does that give me a discount?

If the photograph is professionally taken, suitable for printing, and fits the concept and required size, it can certainly be used. However, there is no discount, as the stated price covers ad space, not my photography services.

I’m a franchisee. Should I use standard company artwork, or is this project only for Local Businesses?

This Co-Op prioritizes Local Businesses and family-owned networks. The design follows a unified, harmonized concept. Third-party designs, such as franchise artwork, are accepted only in the Exclusive Postcard option.
When I say “priority,” it means that if a franchise requests a Co-Op space, it will be placed on a waiting list and granted only if no other business signs before the edition’s closing date. Following this logic, a local or family-owned business could replace a franchise in the same sector. Apologies, franchisee! I’m sure the network already provides substantial brand marketing and advertising support.

I own a network of family-owned stores. Can I advertise them all in the same ad?

Yes and no. The distribution is local, within a radius of no more than 2 miles. So, if I’m promoting a particular area of Boca Raton, the store being advertised should be the one located in that area. However, references to other locations can be included in the digital version of the ad, in the HotSite for each Postcard. In the future, we plan to promote other areas with new editions and routes near each location!

How can I measure the Return on Investment (ROI) of this ad?

In marketing and advertising, everything is testing and evaluating results. No one can promise a 2% or 5% response rate because an ad can be seen, but the lead may not be ready to buy. A sorbet shop always advertises during winter so that when summer comes, it’s the top-of-mind brand. What we can guarantee here is the Return on Investment (ROI) in terms of visibility. Unlike advertising in a magazine on page 27, the approximately 10,000 postcards are literally delivered to each house on the selected routes by a mail carrier. The resident will pick it up, likely take it inside, and since there’s no envelope to open, the ad will be seen by at least one person in the household. For brand recall, the repetition of the ad will drive results.
